The movie “Animal” starring Ranbir Kapoor was a huge hit, making over ₹917 crore worldwide! Due to its success, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced a sequel, “Animal Park.” Originally planned to start filming in 2025, fans will now have to wait a bit longer.
At a recent event, the director revealed filming will begin in 2026. He also teased a “bigger” and “wilder” movie than the first. “Animal Park” will pick up where “Animal” left off, focusing on Ranbir’s character and his family. The sequel’s story was planned alongside the first film, written by Pranay Vanga, making it a multi-part project.

Earlier during a conversation with stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi, Ranbir shared, “He (Vanga) has one or two scenes ready, which he narrated to me, and they are very exciting. Now, because of the success of part one, he has the confidence and courage to go even darker, deeper, and more complex. He can do anything.”
There are rumors Vicky Kaushal might play the villain in “Animal Park,” facing off against Ranbir Kapoor.
