Zila Ghaziabad is already stirring up a controversy. Reportedly, an organisation has claimed that the film will tarnish the image of the city and instigate the youth to take up crime.
The director, who’s surprised by the turn of events, defends his film, says, “Do the people even know what my film is all about? Do they have any idea about it? Do they know that it has taken over two years to make this film, that too at a whopping cost? for what is all I want to ask.”
He adds, “It is just politically motivated. Guess some small politicians want to shine through by cashing on it. I am ready to screen my film for those who have objections. Let me clarify that my film does not portray Ghaziabad in a negative way. In fact, it is the other way round. I have shown the city in a new light and even those who didn’t know about the place will come to know about it now.”
Kumar feels that Zila Ghaziabad has been made to entertain and should be viewed like any other film. “It is a film where a super cop..Sanjay dutt plays around with two rival gang leaders Arshad Warsi and Vivek Oberoi to bring truce between them and peace in the city.
Zila Ghaziabad, produced by Vinod Bachchan, presented by Bharat Shah and Mohammed Fasih and released by Showman International, releases on 22nd Feb.
