Cinemas would remain shut in Maharashtra during October

The theatres and multiplexes have re-opened in several states in India, however they would remain shut in Maharashtra in the next month too. It was speculated that due to Diwali and other festivities coming soon, the theatres might reopen in October. But a news channel has confirmed it to be just a rumor.

In an interview with the news channel, the Guardian Minister of Mumbai Aslam Shaikh revealed that the theatres will not reopen in October. He said, “The reports about cinema halls reopening in October are not true. Besides, the Covid cases in Maharashtra are on the rise again, which is a cause of concern for us. People’s safety is first.”

He has even confirmed that there is no movement on that front yet and so the cinema lovers of Maharashtra have to wait more. Although films like Bell Bottom and Thalaivii went ahead with a theatrical release, but the business done with these has been below-par at the box-office. However it has surely motivated other producers and banners.
