Kangana Ranaut’s most talked about project Emergency might get relief from CBFC only if movie goes through specific cuts.

Recently replying to actress petition in Bombay HC CBFC said Emergency can avail certificate if specific cuts are made.

Yesterday CBFC informed Bombay HC that Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency can get certificate if specific cuts recommended by its revising committee are implemented.

Well Emergency was supposed to release in theaters on 6th September but due to CBFC intervention in not providing certificate has delayed release of Emergency.

Bombay HC has adjourned case till 30th September for giving time to Zee Entertainment Enterprises time to review the cuts suggested by the CBFC. Only after 30th September it will be clear when Biopic will finally release

In upcoming Emergency Kangana Ranaut is portraying role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. From the very first day biopic Emergency came into existence stuck in controversy with some Sikh organizations, including the Shiromani Akali Dal, alleging that the movie misrepresents the community and distorts historical facts.
