‘Boycott Kareena’ trends on Twitter over alleged demand of Rs 12 crore for ‘Sita’ role

Saif Ali Khan faced the ire of a section of netizens on social media for making comments on Ravan, a character which he plays in Adipurush. Plus his work in the Amazon web series Tandav also irked Twitteratti. Well now, it is his wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan who has to face the outrage of the netizens over reports that she has demanded a sum of 12 crores for  the role of Sita. The netizens showed their rage by trending the hashtag ‘Boycott Kareena Khan’.

Netizens stated that Kareena did not ‘deserve’ to play the role of Sita and some also wrote ‘shame on you’ for allegedly demanding Rs 12 crore for the same. Some also suggested other Bollywood actresses like Yami Gautam and Kangana Ranaut for it. BJP’s state spokesperson Gaurav Goel clearly said that she is not worth it and also asked Karena if she could follow the ideals of Sita mata” and ‘make sacrifices like Sita had done for Lord Ram”.
