Another set back for Bollywood industry after CEO Film and TV producer Guild Kulmeet Markkar passed.
According to report he passed away due to heart attack. He was stuck in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh since lockdown came into power.
According to sources he was engaged with Bollywood industry from past three decades.
He had collaborated with Saregama, he also worked with Reliance Entertainment as Founder of Big Music & Home Entertainment. Prior to his role of CEO at Film & TV Producers Guild he was also a president and CEO at Shreya entertainment.
Well recently Mr. Makkar pledged he will be setting up a trust which will cost around $1 Million. Through this trust he was all set to help daily wage earners who are financially hit due to COVID-19 lockdown in the film and television industry.
Well it’s third big loss for Bollywood industry, on Wednesday Bollywood versatile actor Irrfan took his last breath, very next day Bollywood legendary versatile actor Rishi Kapoor took last breath and day after Bollywood and TV producer Makkar passed away. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
Recently Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar mourned death of Kulmeet, for the same KJ took social platform twitter and tweeted
Kulmeet….you were such an incredible pillar to all of us at the Producers Guild of India….relentlessly working for the industry and towards its enhancement and advancement …you left us too soon…we will miss you and always remember you fondly …Rest in piece my friend ..”
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh mourned his loss, he took twitter and tweeted ” RIP #KulmeetMakkar… CEO of Producers Guild of India.”
