Saif Ali Khan was born on 16th Agust 1970 in New Delhi. His father is well-known Cricket player of India Mansoor Ali Khan also known as Nawab of Pataudi, Saif’s mother is well-known bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, a great-grandniece of famous poet Rabindranath Tagore. Saif has two sisters Saba and Soha, Soha is working as Actress in Bollywood Movies. Saif has done his schooling from Lawrence School, Sanawar and Locker’s Park Prep School. And done his graduation from Winchester College, United Kingdom. In 1991 Saif got Married with Amrita Singh a well-known bollywood actress from this wedlock he has two kids, after getting divorce with Amrita Singh he again got married with Kareena Kapoor a well-know actress on 16th Oct 2012 after a long relation of five years. And he has also received Padam Shree Award in 2010.
In 1998 he was Charged with case regarding the poaching two blackbuks in Rajasthan during the shooting of movie Hum Saath-Saath Hai along with co-stars. Later charges against him were dropped and he was released.
Saif Ali Khan made his acting debut in 1992 in Parampara directed by Yash Chopra, and he achieved first success in 1994 in movie Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Yeh Dillagi, Imtihaan in 1995, Kachche Dhaage and Hum Saath Saath hain in 1999, After giving few flops he came back with dynamic performance in Farhan Akhtar’s movie Dil Chahta Hai (2001), which became his turning point as a professional. Saif Ali Khan got his first Filmfare Award as best supporting actor for his role in Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003. And very next year he received National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Hum Tum in 2004. And he played a negative role in movie Ek Hasina Thi.
Between 2005-2006 Saif Ali Khan acted in Parineeta, Salaam Namaste, Being Cyrus and Omkara, Being Cyrus was critically acclaimed movie in English Language, while his movie Omkara was based on the novel of Othello written by Shakespeare in this movie he played a role of Langda Tyagi and for this role he got Filmfare Award for best performance in a negative role.
In 2007 Saif Ali Khan acted in movie Eklavya: The Royal Guard, this movie made his entry into Oscars and his character as Harshwardhan was appreciated by critics. Same year he acted in movie Ta Ra Rum Pum which was based on family drama in this movie he acted with Rani Mukherji.
In 2008 Saif Ali Khan first time acted in a Thriller movie Race in this he acted opposite Bipasha Basu, and this movie did good business at box office. Same year he was seen in Tashan and Thoda Pyar Thoda Magi. Saif has also dubbed one animation movie Roadside Romeo made under the banner of Yash Raj Films
In 2009 Saif Ali Khan produced and acted in movie Love Aaj Kal. And this movie made a commercial success at box-office. In 2011 he acted in Karan Johar’s thriller Kurbaan in this movie he played a role of terrorist.
Saif Ali Khan also worked with Amitab Bachchan in Parkash Jha’s Multi-starrer movie Aarakshan this movie did good business at box-office. In 2012 he acted in movie Agent Vinod in this movie he was seen opposite kareen Kapoor, his upcoming movies are Cocktail, Go Goa Gone and Race 2. We wish he best of luck for his future.
