Amir Khan was born to Aamir Hussain Khan on 14th March 1965. Amir Khan established himself as successful actor, director and producer in bollywood industry. Amir Started his career as a child actor while working in his uncles Nasir Hussains movie Yaadon Ki Baarat(1973)
, he began his professional career at the age of eleven years working in movie Holi. But he got his first success with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988.
Amir received his very first National Film Award for his role in movie Qayamat Se Qayamat tak
in 1988. Amir received his first Film-Fare Award as a best actor for movie Raja Hindustani in 1996 after that he received his second award as best Actor award for his performance in the Academy Award- nominated for Lagaan, this movie was his first movie which was produced by his own production company.
Amir got married with Reena Dutta
on 18th April 1986. From this wedlock they have two children one son and one daughter, son Junaid and daughter Ira. But lately in December 2002 Amir ended his marriage with Reena by taking divorce and in this process Reena took the custody of both children. On December 28th 2005 Amir got married with Kiran Rao
, she had been an assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker during the making of lagan, later on 5th December Amir and his wife announced the birth of their son, Azad Rao Khan which born through a surrogate mother.
In 2007 Amir Lost the custody battle for his younger brother Faisal Khan to their father. On 2nd February Amir lost his father.
After a break of four consecutive years, Amir again made his comeback with movie Mangal Pandey 
(The Rising) in 2005 which was a based on historical drama. And in 2006 he received Film fare Critics Award for Best Actor for movie Rang De Basanti. Then amir entered into direction and his first directorial movie was Taare Zameen Par, and he received Film fare Award as a Best Director for movie Taare Zameen Par. In 2008 he worked in thriller movie Ghajini 
and this movie became highest grossing movie of the year. In 2009 amir worked in movie 3 Idots and this movie too became highest ever grossing movie in bollywood industry.
Later on 30 November 2011 Amir was appointed as Brand Ambassador for UNICEF for promoting Child nutrition. On the other hand he is also working for Government organization IEC for raising malnutrition awareness.
Amir Khan appeared in talk show on television on 6th May 2012 named Satyamev Jayate
this show was based on social issue. For this show Amir was paid Rs.3 crore per episode and this the highest ever paid TV show till date. Therefore this show got reviews and feedback for renowned personalities for instance media house, doctors, film and television personality and social activities.
In September 2012 Amir made to cover page of Time Magazine Asia Addition with the title Khan’s Quest.

Which was again a blockbuster movie and this movie was released in 2012 in this he played a role of cop investigating mysterious death of filmstar.
