Bollywood Superstar Ajay Devgn was born on 2nd April 1969 in a Punjabi Family his father name is Veeru Devgan and he is a well-known stunt choregrapher and his mother Veena Devgan is film producer. Ajay Devgn’s brother is well-known hindi movie director. Ajay has done his graduation from Bappy School in Juhu and Mithibai College.
Ajay Devgn made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante released in 1991 and he received his first Filmfare Award as a Best Male Debut for his performance in Phool Aur Kaante. After that he acted in movies like Jigar (1992), Dilwale (1994), Suhaag (1994), Naajayaz(1995), Diljale (1996) and Ishaq (1997). In 1998, he he acted in movie Major Sahib in this movie he starred alongside Amitab Bachchan and it become major hit movie of the year same year, Devgan was the leading actor in Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, one of the biggest hits of that year. Ajay Devgn received his first National Film Award as a best Actor in 1999 for his performance in Mahesh Bhatt’s Drama Zakhm same year Ajay got success when Sanjay Leela Bhansali cast him opposite Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai for the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and this movie did good business at box-office and became the hit of the year . Ajay’s performance in this film earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Filmfare Award.
In 2001 he acted in movie Lajja and in 2002 Ajay Devgn acted in Company. He won his second National Film Award as a best Actor for his role Bhagat Singh played in movie The Legend of Bhagat Singh and this movie was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Till date he has performed in number of critically and commercially successful movies such as Raincoat (2004), Yuva (2004), Omkara (2006), Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Golmaal Returns (2008), All the best (2009), Once Upon In Mumbai (2010), Golmaal 3(2010), Raajneeti (2010), Singham (2011), Bol Bachan (2012), Son of Sardar (2012) due to his hard work he has established himself as one of the leading actors of the Hindi Film Industry. Ajay Devgn has established his production house and done his first directorial movie U Me Aur Hum which was released in 2008.
Bollywood Actress Kajol started dating Ajay Devgn in 1994 while they both were shooting for movie Gundaraj, but anyhow they were labeled Unlike Pair by media critics. But when media asked Ajay about their relationship he said we never started with usual clause ‘I Love you’. And on the other hand we never proposed as we grew with each other. Marriage was never discussed, but it was always around the corner. After long five year dating he got married with kajol on 24th Feb 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian style. From there wedlock they have two kids. Their daughter Nysa was born on on 20 April 2003 and their Yug was born on 13 September 2010. In August 2009, Devgn’s surname was changed to its current spelling from its more well-known “Devgan”, at the request of his family. Due to his hard work and commitment Ajay Devgn became Bollywood first actor who have private jet carrying it’s crew member for shooting location and for personal trips too. He is the first Indian to own a Maserati Quattroporte.
Ajay Devgn hosted fifth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi as Akshay kumar was not available. Ajay made his first appearance on small screen as the ‘Sutradhar’ of ‘Ram Leela’ on STAR TV in 2012.
