Akshay kumar was born in Amritsar on 9th September 1967 his father was an army officer, and his mother name is Aruna Bhatia, when Akshay was very young he was famous for his performing particularly in dance, Akshay was brought up in at Chandi Chowk in Delhi, before moving to Mumbai while staying in Mumbai Akshay kumar use to live at Koliwada which is Punjabi dominated area her most of the people are from Punjab. Akshay kumar did his schooling from Don Bosco School New Delhi. And he has done his graduation from Guru Nanak Khalsa Collage in Mumbai. He has one sister her name is Alka Bhatia. He is married to Twinkle Khanna and has one son Aaray. Before marrying to Twinkle Khanna, Akshay kumar dated with Shilp Shetty, Raveena Tondon and Pooja Batra.
Akshay kumar trained martial art expert, after taking black belt in Taekwondo in India, he then went to Bangkok for learing Mauay Thai and in Bangkok he use to work as Chef and waiter. After his Mauy Thai training he then came back to Mumbai. Akshay kumar has received the highest Japanese honour of “Katana” and a sixth degree Black Belt in Kuyukai Gojuryu Karate.
Where Akshay kumar started classes of martial art and started teaching martial art. As one of his student was photographer therefore he recommended Akshay Kumar to do modeling therefore his student got him assignment from small company. For modeling Aksay use to get Rs. 5000/- for posing about two hours in front of camera from there onward he made modeling his carrier. It could be destiny or luck that one day he was to catch the flight to Bangalore but unfourtunatily he missed that flight, as he was going to Bangalore therefore he got disappointed, therefore Akshay kumar went on for regular rounds to different film studious carrying his portfolio. Somehow by his luck that same evening he got a chance to act in movie and was signed by Pramod Chakravarthy to do leading role for movie Deedar.

Akshay kumar worked in movie Saugandh followed by thriller movie Khilladi. In the year 1994 his two movies Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Mohra were highest grossing movies of the year. Same year he was seen in movie Yeh Dillagi and this movie also did good business and same year his movie suhaag and elan did good business. Therefore due to success of his movies Akshay kumar was promoted as one of the most successful actors of that year.
Though in 1995 he gave some flops, then after that Akshay kumar was starred in the third series of khiladi in Sabse Bada Khiladi which came out as hit at box officer. Then again he got his forth khiladi hit and that movie was Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, in this movie Akshay kumar was seen opposite Rekha and Raveen Tandon. And this movie became one of the highest grossing movie of the year.
Later Akshay kumar was seen in supporting role in Dil To Pagal Hai in 1997 same year he entered into a comedy role with series of khiladi movie Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi though this movie did not do well. Akshay received ctitical acclaim for his movie Sangharsh and Jaanwar which were released in 1999. After that Akshay kumar one again tried his faith with comedy movies and got great success in 2000 with movie Hera Pheri. In 2001 he was seen in movie Ajnabee in this movie he did negative role and he received Filmfare award.
From 2003 to 2006 Akshay kumar worked in moives Awara Paagal Deewana, Andaaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Garam Masala, and the sequel, Phir Hera Pheri. Apart from his action, comedy and romantic movies he was seen style for dramatic roles in films such as, Aankhen, Bewafaa and Waqt: The Race Against Time.
Year 2007 was very favorable to Akshay kumar as during this year his almost every movie ending up as hits and these movie were Namastey London, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Welcome. Then he was seen in movie Tashan in which he acted with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor failed to acclaim success. Then he was starred in Singh is Kinng did remarkably well in India and overseas.
After that Akshay kumar became producer. The actor does not charge any payment for most of his movies now and rather steps in as a producer and takes a cut in the profit of the film. His is running a production company named Hari Om Entertainment.
Recently Akshay kumar was seen in Tv show named Khatron Ke Khiladi (a franchisee of Fear Factor). In 2010 he once again hosted Tv serial called Master Chef India. Though, in the past two years, Akshay’s fame suffered as the actor his few movies got flop one after another and these movies were Kambakkht Ishq, Blue, Action Replayy and Tees Maar Khan. In 2011 his movies Patiala House and Thank you got failed but any how same year he was seen in movie Desi Boyz which any how manged to do good business at the box-office.
In 2012 Akshay kumar was seen in Housfull2 and this movie received mixed reviews at the box office but somehow it did good business in New Zealand. After big gape of seven years Akshay once again did action movie Rowdy Rathore therefore this movie earned about US$18.2 million and this movie achieved huge box office success. Akshay kumar made his 100th movie mark with movie Joker, but he calarrifed that 100th movie landmark was achieved way back before he even signed up for Joker. Which he produced and starred with Paresh Rawal. His latest release was Khiladi 786 which is 8th movie of his khiladi Series. We will be seeing Akshay kumar in future as a superstar of Indian Cineama.
