AR Rahman Issues Legal Notice Over Divorce Rumors  

Music legend AR Rahman has taken legal action against YouTube channels spreading defamatory rumors about him following his announcement of separation from wife Saira Banu. Online speculation linked their divorce to the split of bassist Mohini Dey and her husband Mark, which happened around the same time.  

Rahman’s legal team issued a strongly worded notice, condemning the false narratives circulating online. The notice stated, “Some social media platforms and YouTubers have shared defamatory content and concocted stories about their private lives. There were also interviews presenting baseless perspectives on their marital separation.” The statement clarified that such content is both untruthful and harmful, intending to tarnish Rahman’s reputation.  

The notice further demanded the immediate removal of objectionable material within 24 hours. It warned content creators against spreading hateful or abusive narratives, emphasizing that there is no truth in the allegations made in these posts.  

Rahman and Saira Banu had announced their separation through a joint statement, with Rahman later sharing an emotional message on social media. He thanked friends and fans for their support, asking for privacy during this delicate time. The composer’s firm response highlights the importance of respecting boundaries and combating misinformation in the digital age.
