Anil Kapoor says that Kareena Kapoor Khan charged a bomb for Veere Di Wedding

Beginning her career with Refugee in 2000, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been a revolution of her own in the film industry. Although she is married and a mother, which eventually slows down the career of an actress, Bebo stands as an exception. She is continuously in demand and increase her charges with every film. She also charged a whopping amount for Veere Di Wedding.

Veere Di Wedding starred Kareena alongside Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. This flick co-produced by Anil Kapoor, his daughter Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi was a hit at the box office and earned 83 crores.

Anil Kapoor recently went to a chat show hosted by Kareena Kapoor Khan along with Anurag Kashyap to promote their latest release AK vs AK. During the conversation Bebo asked Anil about his say on male actors rejecting films where his female co-star is not being paid equally. To this Anil quickly replied, “You toh took a lot of money from me (for Veere Di Wedding)”

Kareena was speechless on this and continued, “We are breaking barriers, we are doing that. But like you said, there are still some people…” But Anil did not end the topic there and continued revealing about the negotiations during Veere Di Wedding. “Yaar, yeh toh hero se zyada paise maang rahi hai.’ Maine bola, ‘De do (She is demanding more money than the hero. I said, Give it to her). They all called me up also, I said, ‘Done.’ They were , calling me when the negotiations were on. I said, ‘Bebo jo maangegi, de do (Give Kareena what she wants),” he added.

Anil also said that he has worked on multiple films where his female co-star has charged more than him. “There are so many films where the leading actress has taken more money and maine khushi khushi kiya (I did the films happily),” he added.
