Akshay Kumar’s Niece Simar Bhatia Debuts in ‘Ikkis’ with Agastya Nanda

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s niece, Simar Bhatia, is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming film Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. She will star alongside Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and veteran actor Dharmendra. Ikkis is a war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra awardee who displayed exceptional bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. 

Simar is the daughter of Akshay’s sister, Alka Bhatia. Expressing his pride, Akshay shared a newspaper clipping featuring Simar on Instagram, captioning it: “I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that’s the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child’s photo here beats everything. I wish my mom was here today, and she would have said, ‘Simar puttar tu tah Kamaal hai’. Bless you my baby, the sky is yours.” 

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, known for films like Andhadhun and Badlapur, Ikkis is produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film is anticipated to offer a compelling narrative, with Simar’s debut generating significant interest in the industry. 

As Simar steps into Bollywood, she carries forward the legacy of her family, with audiences eagerly awaiting her performance in this significant project.
