After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many allegations and speculations did rounds on social media. Akshay Kumar’s name was dragged in the controversy without any base. And now the actor has filed a defamation suit worth 500 crores against the YouTuber who did so.
According to the YouTuber, identified as Rashid Siddiqui, Akshay helped Rhea Chakraborty to elope to Canada while the probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s was at its highest peak. Siddiqui also accused the actor of having secret conversations with Uddhav Thackeray and son Aditya Thackeray. He also accused that Akshay was not happy with Sushant Singh Rajput getting MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, which all was untrue.
Advocate Dharmendra Mishra filed a complaint against Rashid of spreading fake news. On investigation, the police found out that he did this to increase his followers which was just 1 lakh before the death of SSR and increased to 3.5 lakh after his death. And his earnings from the channel jumped to a massive Rs.6,50,898 in September. His fake video in question here that accused Akshay garnered a lot of views.
While Akshay Kumar has allegedly now filed a defamation lawsuit, the YouTuber got anticipatory bail from the court and was told to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
