After the box office success of ‘Housefull 2’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ this year and ‘Oh My God’ the previous year, Akshay Kumar decided to cut his remuneration by half for his first release of this year, ‘Special Chabbis‘.
He says that he is not worried nor is he in any kind of pressure. The movie can be made in a certain budget. Every film has a different budget and a different audience. Looking at the audience for the film he decided to charge only half his rate for the film.
He is sure people will like it as he enjoyed it. He feels proud to be associated with it. Its directed by Neeraj Pandey of ‘A Wednesday’ fame, ‘Special Chabbis’ is a masala film, starring Akshay, Kajal garwal, Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai and Anupam Kher. The movie is a period movie set in the early 1980s. Reportedly the film takes its concept from the real-life drama dated back to 1987 where an unknown man posing as a CBI officer executed an income tax raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs.
