Abhishek Chaubey Coming Up With Biopic On Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Chand

Good news for Hockey fans, yes it’s going to be good news as filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey recently opened about upcoming biopic which will be based on life story of Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Chand.

According to report upcoming biopic will be released in 2022.

Recently RSVP revealed biopic on life story of Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Chand is on card for the they have signed Bollywood versatile filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey who is well-known for his project’s Udta Punjab and Sonchiriya.

Confirming news of upcoming biopic Abhishek came forward and shared his excitement adding “Dhyan Chand is one of the greatest hockey players in the history of our national sport, and it’s a matter of pride to direct his biopic. We had massive amount of research material in hand, and honestly, every achievement of his life deserves a separate story in itself. I am grateful to have a brilliant creative force like Ronnie Screwvala backing the film, and we can’t wait to get started next year. Hoping to announce the lead actor soon.”

According to sources once everything gets on track filmmaker will start searching for actor who will be stepping into shoes of Indian hockey legend Dhyan Chand.

Dhyan Chand led Indian hockey team between 1925 to 1949. Dhyan Chand has played 185 matches he scored over 1500 goals. Team under his captaincy won three Olympic gold medal 1928,1932 and 1936.

He received Padma Bhushan in 1956. And his birthday anniversary celebrated as National Sports Day which happens on 29th August every year on his birthday.
