Abhishek Bachchan Approach High Court To Safeguard Personality Rights

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan take legal way to protect personality Rights.

According to report actor recently approached Delhi High Court to seek personality rights protection.

Actor took this step for protecting himself from misuse of his image and identity online without prior consent or approval.
Yesterday court took cognigence and announced its decision to issue an order regarding Abhishek Bachchan’s request.

Actor in his plea seeked court to protect his publicity and personality rights, and to prevent websites and platforms from using his image, likeness, persona, and any fake videos, including those of a sexually explicit nature.

Recently concerned court said “We will pass an order.” court also took decision on a similar request from actors wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

According to report Delhi High Court said that it would issue an interim order regarding Aishwarya Rai’s plea, injuncting the defendant websites and platforms. Apart from this in  2023, both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also filed a plea in  high court to block and remove deceptive content about their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan’s health.

Pravin Anand defendants are posting AI-generated videos of the actor, creating fake signed photos, and generating sexually explicit material.

According to report in a statement actors Advocate Pravin Anand revealed to court “I have put his filmography. He has earned several awards for his acting. He is also into major sports events as a person who promotes Kabbadi, Indian Super League for football.” He added that the rights he was claiming were the publicity and personality rights, copyright and passing off.

Advocate argued that several individuals whose identities are yet to be revealed, are using artificial intelligence and deepfake technology to manipulate Abhishek’s identity by creating offensive videos and images of a “sexually explicit” nature.

According to report  High Court has scheduled Abhishek Bachchan’s next hearing which will heard before the Court’s Joint Registrar on November 7 and before the court next year on January 15.
