According to sources 3 idiot script writer Abhijat Joshi has come forward and confirmed the news that he is working on script of 3 idiot sequel. 

Right now Aamir is busy with his upcoming project “Dangal”, and it has been confirmed that after completing Dangal, Aamir will surely start working for his upcoming 3 idiot sequel.
