Aamir Khan Opend About His Early Marriage

Recently while interacting with media Actor opened about his and  Reena Dutta’s relationship, which looks like a classic Bollywood tale, full of youthful love and intense challenges. Actor added when Reena’s family came to know about their relationship they banned her from seeing me.

While opening about how he saved marriage he said, he went through Special Marriage Act to ensure their plan was legally valid. Actor recalls
  “I first read the special marriage act to understand if what Reena and I were planning to do was politically sound.” Though he wasn’t yet 21 when he made the decision, he officially married Reena on April 18, 1986, shortly after his birthday. The ceremony was witnessed by his friend Satya, Satya’s wife Swati, and his cousin Anand.
The Secret Marriage and Its Revelation
He recalled, “We got married on April 18, two days after me turning 21.

Actor further revealed how Reena reveals their secret marriage to family, actor said one day Reena’s sister Anu forced her to disclose it. Actor further added “Reena ended up revealing about our marriage to her sister Anu. She was shocked. Her parents didn’t react too well, after i was aware Reena’s family has come through their secreat marriage Now that Reena’s family I thought it was right time that my parents know it too, for the same one day I called Reena to meet my parents. Therefore i made all my family  members available to break the news. My parents thought she was my girlfriend. They were blushing. My father was a dynamite. Unka gussa kabhi bhi phat sakta tha (He was short tempered). But once I started to tell them the details of our love story, all the ladies in the house started to cry. Surprisingly, my dad got up and hugged me. I didn’t expect this. He said, ‘Now you are both married, now what’s bothering you?’ I said, ‘Reena’s parents are returning from Chennai in 30 minutes and that’s bothering me.’”  soon after introducing Reena to my family I decided

to approach Reena’s parents to seek their approval. Aamir revealed I remember “Reena’s mother denied her from coming home. She spoke to her and told  ‘You don’t come here. We don’t want to meet you.’ This left Reena shattered. ‘You are married now. You must be happy. We don’t want to meet you.’” It took nearly four months for the situation to calm down. During this period, Reena’s mother secretly contacted them when her husband was away.
Tragically, four months later, Reena’s father suffered a heart attack, and they rushed to the hospital. Aamir shared, “I went to see him in the ICU along with Reena. She was very close to her father. They got emotional and cried a lot. I touched his feet and he didn’t react but later nodded at me.” Actor further added her parents eventually accepted me after I spent some time with him. He said, ‘I should have met you the first time you came to meet me, I can tell I couldn’t ever find a guy like you for Reena.’”
