Ranbir Kapoor to Begin ‘Brahmastra 2’ With Alia Bhatt in April 2027

Bollywood fans have massive news to look forward to as the highly anticipated fantasy sequel, Brahmastra 2, is officially gearing up for production. Reports indicate that lead actor Ranbir Kapoor will dive straight into the project after wrapping up his work on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part 2 by January 2027. Following a brief prep period, cameras are scheduled to roll in April 2027.

​In this upcoming installment, Ranbir will tackle the exciting challenge of a dual role, portraying both Shiva and Dev to expand the mythology of the Astraverse. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will return to reprise her emotional core role as Isha.

​Adding to the excitement, director Ayan Mukerji is reportedly in active discussions with Deepika Padukone to cast her as Amruta. While talks are currently underway, fans are already thrilled about the prospect of this powerhouse trio coming together. With pre-production and scripting moving along smoothly, the sequel promises a much larger canvas and a grander cinematic experience when it hits the big screen.
