Recently Indian film industry went through big loss, as Bollywood legendary veteran actor Dharmendra passed away.
According to IFFI has decided to pay homage to Dharmendra at closing ceremony, on the other hand ‘Sholay’ screening get cancelled.
According to report The 56th International Film Festival of India is taking place at Pannaji and IFFI is all set to organise a special tribute for actor Dharmendra at its closing ceremony later this week.
IFFI Prakash Magdum, Managing Director, NFDC,
released statement which goes like this “We received the unfortunate news of Dharam ji’s passing away on Monday. A minute’s silence was observed at the closing ceremony of the Film Bazaar as a mark of respect.
“We will also be paying homage to the beloved legend during the festival’s closing ceremony,”
According to report
screening of “Sholay” in 4K restored version was scheduled on November 26 at IFFI but has been cancelled with organisers citing technical reasons”.
Well IFFI has taken right decision.
