‘Chikni Chameli’ and ‘Dhat Teri Ki’, without purchasing Copyright for the same PPL demands Rs 2 crores.
Recently Bigg Boss 19 which is hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss is known for fuelling controversies inside the house. This time show stuck in controversy itself after Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL), India’s oldest copyright licensing organisation, has issued a legal notice to the producers of the show, alleging unauthorised use of copyrighted music.
According to report notice which is right now with Mid-Day’s which says on going 11th episode of 19th season of Bigg Boss which was aired on 3rd September featured two songs ‘Chikni Chameli and Dhat Teri Ki’ for the same PPL India claims the producers used the tracks without securing a mandatory public performance licence. Notice was served by
advocate Hiten Ajay Wasan on behalf of PPL. Notice was served to Endemol Shine India, the production house behind Bigg Boss, along with its directors Thomas Gousset, Nicolas Chazarain, and Deepak Dhar.
Well going through above it seems Bigg Boss makers has stuck in big legal trouble.
