Malayalam Actress Navya Nair Paid Heafty Fine On Airport

 It was tough day for Malayalam actress Navya Nair after she paid heafty fine of Rs.1.14 lakh at Melbourne Airport.

According to report actress was fined at Melbourne airport for carrying a 15 cm long gajra for Onam celebrations, and she was fined due to Australia’s strict biosecurity rules.

According to report actress
travelled to Australia to take part in the Onam celebrations organised by the Malayali Association of Victoria during which she was stopped at airport.

According to report during an event she revealed whole story she said ” Her father gifted her the gajra before the journey. My father divided
it into two parts for the two legs of her journey, one during the Kochi-Singapore leg of her trip and the other to keep in her handbag for later”

She said it went wrong against law, it was just a mistake which unknowingly happened However, ignorance is no excuse. She further added for mistake airport  officials asked me to pay a fine of AUD 1,980 within 28 days. A mistake is a mistake, though it was not intentionally”
She further added if we talk about Australia law country has one of the strictest biosecurity rules to prevent the country from pests and diseases, and undeclared plant material is strictly prohibited.

Well actress took airport fine in a positive way she shared one video of herself with caption  “A show-off right before paying the fine.”

Navya Nair made her acting debut with project named  Ishtam which played turning point in her life  and she rose to fame. In 2002 she was
critical acclaim with Nandanam, for the same she received Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress.

We salute her for taking fine in postive way, which happened unknowingly.
