FIR Registered Against Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Alleged Misbehaviour During ‘Love & War’ Shoot

Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali finds himself amid controversy as an FIR was filed against him and two others in Bikaner, Rajasthan, in connection with the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Love & War’. The complaint, brought by local line producer Prateek Raj Mathur, accuses Bhansali of fraud, misbehaviour, and breach of trust after Mathur was removed from the project without payment, despite having made all necessary arrangements for the shoot and coordinating extensively with government departments.

According to police, matters escalated when Mathur attempted to meet Bhansali’s team at their hotel, resulting in alleged misbehaviour. The FIR, registered at Bichhwal police station following a local court order, cites Bhansali, Arvind Gill, and Utkarsh Bali under various charges including fraud and criminal conspiracy.

Currently, the investigation is being handled by Bichhwal SHO Govind Singh Charan, with statements being reviewed from both sides. ‘Love & War,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to release in 2026. The production team has not issued an official response, and the incident has generated debate within the industry regarding Bhansali’s ongoing issues with local authorities.
