Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has opened up about one of his biggest career regrets—turning down leading roles in two of India’s most iconic films, Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and 3 Idiots (2009). Speaking at a recent promotional event for his upcoming film War 2, Hrithik candidly admitted, “I said no to Dil Chahta Hai, and I said no to 3 Idiots. But I think Aamir Khan was the right choice for both those films. It had a destiny.” He further praised Aamir Khan’s memorable performances, noting that both movies “belonged to him” and were elevated by his presence.

Directed by Farhan Akhtar and Rajkumar Hirani respectively, both Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots became blockbusters, reshaping modern Indian cinema and leaving a profound cultural impact. Hrithik expressed no bitterness, acknowledging that some roles are meant for others and that destiny plays a key role in shaping careers. While fans continue to imagine how different these classics might have been with Hrithik in the lead, the actor remains gracious, applauding Aamir’s work and looking forward to his next ventures, including the highly anticipated War 2.
