Actors advocate and actor recently appeared before court in Jalandhar court, where actor got conditional bail. FIR was lodged against actor for hurting religious sentiments in 2017 project titled Behen Hogi Teri.
According to report FIR was lodged against actor hurting religious sentiments, however his lawyer pleaded it was artistic expression after hearing his advocate actor was granted conditional bail.
Actors case was fixed for hearing on Wednesday at Jalandhar court where he was released on conditional bail.
Advocate shared details of Rajkummar Rao’s case adding during a promotion of Behen Hogi Teri a poster featuring actor Rajkummar Rao, in Lord Shiva’s get-up, was released online on April 4, 2017. In the poster, the actor was seen dressed up as the deity, and seated on a silver motorbike with a UP number plate, due to which anger was triggered among a section of people after which case was registered against actors Rajkumar Rao, Shruti Hassan, the producer, director and deputy director of the film. Actor and others were booked under Section 295A (act done with the intention of inciting religious sentiments), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) and Section 67 of the IT Act, after this non-bailable warrants were issued against the actor which he failed as Challan was issued on Delhi where as actor residing Mumbai, however on 28th July actor appeared before Jalandhar court where he was granted conditional bail.
