In a significant move supporting meaningful cinema, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has declared Anupam Kher’s latest directorial venture, Tanvi The Great, tax-free across the state. The announcement was made following a special screening attended by the Chief Minister, Anupam Kher, the film’s cast, and cabinet ministers in Bhopal.
Tanvi The Great, released on July 18, centers on the inspiring journey of Tanvi Raina, a 21-year-old autistic woman who aspires to join the Indian Army to honor her late father’s dream. The film has been praised for its sensitive portrayal of autism, highlighting the courage, determination, and dreams of children with special needs.

Dr Yadav commended the film for raising awareness and promoting compassion towards differently-abled individuals. In a statement, he noted, “This touching film inspires society to be more sensitive, humane, and compassionate towards special children.” The move to make the film tax-free is intended to encourage more viewers to witness its powerful message and foster greater social understanding.
