Anurag Basu Announces ‘Aashiqui 3’ Filming to Begin Next Month

Director Anurag Basu has provided an exciting update on the much-anticipated film ‘Aashiqui 3’. In a recent interview, he revealed that the shooting is scheduled to commence next month. Basu stated, “We will start the shoot next month,” indicating that the project is moving forward as planned. 

The ‘Aashiqui’ franchise, known for its compelling love stories and memorable music, has been a significant part of Bollywood’s romantic film genre. The original ‘Aashiqui’ (1990) featured Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, while ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013) starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, both achieving substantial success. The upcoming ‘Aashiqui 3’ is set to feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, generating considerable excitement among fans.

Regarding the female lead, there have been speculations about actress Triptii Dimri’s involvement or it could be Sharvari Wagh. However, Basu addressed these rumors, clarifying that the casting is still in progress. He mentioned, “We have not finalized the female lead right now; it will be announced in a week.” 

Currently, the team is focused on pre-production activities, ensuring all preparations are in place for the upcoming shoot. Fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting further announcements, particularly regarding the complete cast and the film’s release date. With the previous installments’ success, expectations are high for ‘Aashiqui 3’ to deliver another captivating romantic saga.
