Kingston: India’s First Sea-Horror Film to Release March 7, 2025

Kingston, India’s inaugural sea-horror action-adventure film, is set for a global theatrical release on March 7, 2025. 

Directed by Kamal Prakash, the film features G. V. Prakash Kumar in the lead role, who also serves as the producer under his banner, Parallel Universe Pictures, in collaboration with Zee Studios. The cast includes Divyabharathi, Yogi Babu, Sabumon Abdusamad, Antony, and Elango Kumaravel. 

The narrative of Kingston delves into uncharted waters, combining elements of horror and adventure set against a maritime backdrop. The film is anticipated to be the first installment of a trilogy, promising audiences a unique cinematic experience. 

Principal photography commenced in October 2023, with elaborate sets, including a massive ship, constructed to enhance the film’s authenticity. The production team comprises cinematographer Gokul Benoy, editor San Lokesh, and art director S. S. Moorthy. Notably, Yogi Babu, apart from acting, has contributed to the script, marking his debut as a co-writer.
