Tabla Mestro Zakir Hussain Passed Away At 73

Great loss for India after news of Tabla Masetro Zakir Hussain’s death  came into light. According to report Zakir Hussain passed away  yesterday in San Francisco at the age of 73.

News of Mestro death was confirmed by his family reson behind death was idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Hussain’s exceptional contribution to Indian classical music and his role as a cultural ambassador have left an indelible mark on the global music community.

Tabla Mestro Zakir Hussain is survived by his wife, Antonia Minnecola, his daughters Anisa Qureshi and Isabella Qureshi.

Statement which Zakir Hussain’s family reveled goes like this “His prolific work as a teacher, mentor, and educator has left an indelible mark on countless musicians. He hoped to inspire the next generation to go further. He leaves behind an unparalleled legacy as a cultural ambassador and one of the greatest musicians of all time.”

On 15th December Indian Flautust Chaurasia reveled Tabla Mestro Zakir Hussain had been admitted to a San Francisco hospital’s ICU with heart-related complications”.
