LSD 2 teaser: Dibakar Banerjee’s dark comedy blasts social media, reality TV & crime

Dibakar Banerjee, known for his innovative and distinct storytelling, has returned with the sequel to his 2010 crime-thriller Love, Sex Aur Dhokha. The original film was considered groundbreaking for its bold content that was unusual for Indian audiences at the time. The teaser for the sequel has been released, once again pushing boundaries with its provocative storytelling.

The 2.13-minute teaser provides a glimpse into TRP-driven television shows and the lives of Gen Z influencers. Mouni Roy, Swastika Mukherjee, Tushar Kapoor, and Anu Malik also make appearances in the movie. From an on-screen kiss during a live show to a contestant on a reality series slapping her own mother, Dibakar authentically portrays the toxicity of the new generation. Uorfi Javed also has a brief cameo in the teaser. Amidst the conflicts and chaotic exchanges, glimpses of a brutal murder are also shown.

Prior to the teaser’s release, Dibakar had cautioned the audience about its content and said, “Making ‘LSD’ and not showing the truth is not possible. So, while making ‘LSD 2’, we portrayed the same truth, an authentic picture of life that we see all around us. But, these days, instead of believing the truth, the fashion of ignoring the truth has increased. So, if you are in that fashion, then I can give you a disclaimer that you should not watch the ‘LSD 2’ teaser or trailer. If you are not an adult then do not watch the ‘LSD 2’ teaser or trailer.”
