Sonu Sood reacts to 20 crores tax evasion row

Besides being a great actor in Bollywood, Sonu Sood is well known for his deeds of humanitarian during these tough times of pandemic. It was claimed that the actor had piled up on crores of rupees during these times. And he has to face an investigation by The Central Board of Direct Taxes.

The actor opened up on this and had published a statement telling that every penny will ultimately be spent on humanitarian causes. Sonu Sood told, “Whatever documents, details they asked for, we gave. Whatever questions they asked, I answered. I did my part, they did theirs. Whatever questions they raised, we answered every one of them with documents. That’s my duty. We are still providing documents…it is part of the process.”

He said that the tax officials were impressed with his detailed paperwork and that they also said that he had done a ‘good work’. Sonu said, “I asked them – have you ever seen this kind of documentation, details, paperwork? They said no…they were also happy with whatever they were seeing. They said it was the smoothest four days of raids for them.”
