Kunal Kapoor entered the film industry as an actor with the film Meenaxi: A tale of three cities in 2006. Well now he is all set to take a new step in the industry and don the hat of producer. As an assistant director, he has been writing stories and now he says that he has always wanted to tell stories in every way possible. Speaking to a news channel, he said that in recent times the masses have become accustomed to new storytelling formats and want to listen to fresh concepts especially now when they are watching movies all around the world. And Kunal wants to make the most of this opportunity when he knows the audiences are ready for new stories.
He further added that this time he wants to don the producer’s hat as he wants to bring a story to life with his own vision. And now he wants to make a movie on the life of India’s Winter Olympian – Shiva Keshavan, who also is known as India’s fastest man on the ice. Speaking about what drew him to Shiva’s story, the actor said, “He is an amazing athlete. What drew me to Shiva Keshavan was not only the fact that he has represented India in the Olympics six times, but that it was also a story about the spirit of India and the incredible things we manage to achieve with limited resources. It’s a story of resilience and the path less taken; it’s also a celebration of our culture and diversity.”
Well, we surely can’t wait for this story to unfold.
