Vidhu Vinod Chopra predicted the box office success of Salman Khan’s Dabangg

It has been over  period of 3 decades that Salman Khan has been ruling the Bollywood industry. He has given some incredible performances with blockbusters successes in this time and the cop drama Dabangg is one of them. Let us take you back in time, when the superstar organised an industry screening for his film and asked for the reaction of producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra on his film. Well, speaking of Dabangg then this big hit enjoys a massive fan following and has become a niche for the actor over the years. The movir also marked the debut of Sonakshi Sinha who has also give her best in the sequel and threequel of the film.

Talking about the screening of the film in 2011 where Aamir Khan, Malaika Arora, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and more were present. Salman asked Vidhu’s reaction to his film during a press conference. He said, “There is no such thing as ‘verdict’. I don’t really believe in verdicts. I think it’s a great effort. I think he’s done a great character, really wonderful. A film’s box office isn’t an indicator of its quality. Some brilliant movies have been made, and they’ve been ‘unsuccessful’, this doesn’t mean that they are bad films.”

The producer continued and said, “This film will be very successful, I believe. Salman wants me to be honest, and I’ll say it again, his performance, and how the character has been written, is outstanding.”
