After filing an FIR against Kangana Ranaut and others, Ashish Kaul sent a notice to police station in Mumbai demanding the progress in his case. This Wednesday, his legal team, which included   advocates Ravish Zamindar and Yogita Joshi, has sent a legal notice to Khar police station in Mumbai that seeked for an update on the case filed by him against the Bolllywood actress.

For the unversed, Ashish Kaul who is the author of ‘Didda: The Warrior Queen of Kashmir’ accused the actress of copyright violation. Kaul said that he had emailed the storyline of his book to Kangana who used a few lines from ther in her tweet to announce her movie without taking his permission. An FIR was thereafter registered at Khar police station against Kangana Ranaut, Kamal Kumar Jain, Rangoli Chandel, and Akshat Ranaut on March 12 under IPC sections 405 (criminal breach of trust), 415 (cheating), 120 B (criminal conspiracy) as well as the Copyright Act.

The legal team of Kaul, sent a notice to police station seeking for an update on the progress made in the matter. The notice said that they were “unclear on the progress despite visiting the police station almost daily till March 15”.
