Shahid Kapoor announces wrap-up of ‘Jersey’ schedule in Uttarakhand

After a long break from the film industry due to Coronavirus pandemic, Shahid Kapoor had resumed shooting for his upcoming film, Jersey. Taking to his Twitter account, the actor announced the wrap up of his shooting schedule that took place in Uttarakhand. In the movie, Shahid  will be seen as a cricketer, with Mrunal Thakur as her love interest and the female lead. The movie is the Hindi remake of the Telugu Jersey.

Announcing the wrap up of his schedule, Shahid tweeted, “It’s a wrap on this schedule of #Jersey. I would like to thank the Govt of Uttarakhand for supporting and putting in place efficient policies that enabled us to safely shoot and wrap the schedule of our film in the many beautiful locations of the state.”

According to a source, earlier during the shoot of Jersey, Shahid had injured himself. The source said, “It was all fine till afternoon. Shahid had come to give his shot. It was at the cricket pitch and he had to shoot a few portions of the sport today. But after some time, he got hit by the ball on his head suffered an injury. The bouncer hit him right above his eyes.

The source further said, “But the injury was a deep cut so he had to get 13 stitches. Mira Rajput has rushed to Chandigarh now on hearing the news. There’s nothing to worry anymore.”
