The ongoing pandemic situation in the country brought a halt in Bollywood and many films couldn’t get a usual theatrical release even after months of wait. Some of them took the OTT route. As the pandemic situation still prevail and the government has permitted the cinemas to open with some restrictions, some of the big movies will release on OTT platform. One of these films includes Laxmmi Bomb featuring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani. The film although is scheduled to release on 9th of November on Disney+ Hotstar, but a poor version of this movie was leaked online on Wednesday.
This unfortunate news brought Laxmmi Bomb in headlines of many news channels and publications. But we have a new update on the film. It is about a song from the film called ‘Burj Khalifa’ that was shot in January this year, and Akshay and Kiara had travelled to the UAE to shoot for this special number.
According to a source, there were initial talks about launching this special number in Dubai on a high scale in presence of the lead cast. But these plans were scrapped later. The source informed, “Burj Khalifa’ is a very special number for the makers and Akshay Kumar had suggested that they launch the same in Dubai. The makers were initially even keen about the plan, but later decided against it as the commercials didn’t work out in their favour”.
