CBI makes another trip to Mumbai to gather more evidence

On being not convinced by the forensic report of AIIMS that declared that Sushant Singh Rajput died suicide, the late actor’s family wrote to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) demanding the reconstitution of a medical team. Shortly after this, the sleuths of the federal agency were in Mumbai. A CBI source told that the CBI investigation into this mysterious case is still continuing and they are thoroughly looking into every aspect of the case.

“As per the demand of the investigation, either a team or a set of officers visit Mumbai at regular intervals, besides the agency officers from the Mumbai branch present there,” the source added,  but refused to share the names of the officials that landed in Mumbai.

Varun Singh, son of Vikas Singh (family lawyer of SSR) wrote to CBI chief R.K Shukla after Rhea Chakraborty (Sushant’s girlfriend and prime suspect in his death), Samuel Miranda (Sushant’s house manager) and Dipesh Sawant (Sushant’s personal staff) were granted bail by the Bombay High Court.  However Rhea’s brother Showik was denied of bail.

In his letter Varun also mentioned that the report given by the forensic team of AIIMS was faulty. He wrote, “I have been reading in the media about the report submitted by AIIMS to CBI with regard to the opinion expressed by CBI in the matter of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020. I have also seen some doctors who were part of the AIIMS team come on TV and make statements with regard to the forensic examination done by the team.”

He also mentioned in the letter that despite several efforts to get a copy of the report, the panel head of AIIMS team has not responded and “I am accordingly writing this letter on the premise that the news report regarding the AIIMS opinion is correct”.
