Do you know Riteish Deshmukh’s Humshakals was a tribute to legendary actor Kishore Kumar?

Helmed by Sajid Khan, Humshakals was a comedy drama released in 2014 comedy. The starcast of this flick included Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Tamannaah Bhatia. In the movie, Saif, Riteish and Ram have each played the role of triplets, which means each have played three different character. But one thing that you may not be aware of is that this movie was a tribute to the legendary comic genius Kishore Kumar.

In an interview with an entertainment channel, the director Sajid Khan said that the legends like Kishore Kumar have entertained  the audiences with their genius acting skills over the years. He said that Humshakals was a humble tribute to Kishore Da. He further said that it is the funniest script he was ever worked on till date. Many of the comic scenes in Humshakals, were inspired by some of the comedy movies of Kishore Kumar like Jhumroo, Half Ticket, and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.
