Sushant Singh Rajput died on 14th of June this year in a mysterious way. Mumbai Police was although investigating the matter, but their shoddy investigation and claims of his death to be a suicide could not be digested by the angry people including his fans, co-stars, Bollywood celebrities politicians and of course the late actor’s family. All of them also demanded a CBI probe. Sushant’s father even lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna with charges that included abetting to suicide, plundering his money and for distancing him from his family.
After a plea of the Bihar Government plea to the Centre to transfer the investigation of the case to the CBI, Rhea also came up with a plea in the Supreme Court for the investigation to be transferred from Bihar Police to the Mumbai Police. But today in its judgement, the apex court, pronounced the verdict and ordered that the Bihar Government can initiate a CBI probe into the case. The court also ordered the Mumbai police to co-operate with the CBI in their investigation. Justice Hrishikesh Roy pronounced the verdict.
