The suicidal demise of Sushant Singh Rajput left the entire nation in a state of shock. The actor’s funeral took place at Pawan Hans. Many of his co-stars including Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Krystle D’Souza and others came to pay their last respects but the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was not seen anywhere. However she visited the hospital where Sushant’s body was kept. Then why did she not attend the funeral? Read on further to know the details.
As per a statement given by the lawyer of the Jalebi actress Satish Manshinde, she wasn’t allowed to attend the funeral. Only 20 people could attend it as per the government guidelines due to the pandemic and Rhea’s name was struck off from the list by the family. “Rhea Chakraborty has always been living in Mumbai. She was in Mumbai on 14th June 2020. She was not allowed to attend the Funeral of Sushant Singh as her name was stuck off from the list of 20,”
He also said that Rhea was always present when called by Mumbai police:“She was summoned by Mumbai Police on 18th of June 2020 at Bandra Police Station. Her statement was recorded there. Subsequently, she was summoned to appear on 17th July 2020 at Santacruz Police station. She appeared and recorded her supplementary statement,”
