Sherni featuring Vidya Balan will resume shooting in October

Many of the movie shoots were put on a halt due to the ongoing pandemic. Sherni featuring Vidya Balan was also halted in the mid of March. Now, as the situation is becoming a li’l better, the director of the film Amit Masurkar is planning to resume the shoot. According to a report to a publication, the film will go on floors by first week of October this year.

The producer of the movie, Vikram Malhotra revealed the location. He said:-  

 “The next location is Balaghat; we will be filming in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. The safety of the cast and crew is key, which is why we have waited for so many months to resume work. The number of cases is reducing, but the nature of the menace is such that we need to have our guards up.”

He also said that 65% of the movie is left to be shot and they have gotten the permissions from MP government. He said:

“The authorities facilitating production in Madhya Pradesh have assured me that the area is safe to shoot in. Internally, we will follow the strictest guidelines of health and safety.”

Vidya Balan will be seen as a forest officer in the film solving man-animal conflict. She said— “I am excited, not scared. Fear won’t help much, all we can do is be as careful as possible and move forward.”
