Akshay Kumar will be shooting for his digital debut ‘The End’ next year

In March 2019, superstar Akshay Kumar announced his digital entry in a grand way. He was to make his digital debut with Amazon Prime Videos‘The End’. During the launch of the show, Akshay was seen setting himself on fire as a part of the stunt that will be seen in the series. Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios was pretty excited about the series. She said, “The scale at which The End is being conceived is enormous. The storyline and the action sequences have been brilliantly crafted.”

Touted as one of the biggest projects of the OTT giant in India, the shooting of the same was to start in July 2020. But because of the pandemic the web series will now go on floors 7 months later.

As per reports, the producer Vikram Malhotra of Abudantia Entertainment said:

“The show was to roll in December tentatively, with Akshay joining us in January 2021. But, it has been four months [into the lockdown], and it will be a few more months before normalcy is restored. Akshay, too, has other commitments. So, we are hoping to get into production by the second half of 2021.”

He added: ”

It isn’t a project that we, as makers, can tweak and start [shooting] next month. We’ve used the time to improve the material.”

We are sure that Akshay will rule over the digital world with his mindboggling action in ‘The End’.
