Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff file an application over infringement of his personality traits for the same he pleaded to give him trademark on word “Bhidu”.
According to report actors has argued court that the actor’s personality traits, dialogues, and trademark style have been unlawfully used for commercial purposes.
According to report actor took legal action against various companies and individuals for unlawfully exploiting his name and distinctive characteristics for commercial purposes. In an application actor objected to the unauthorized utilization of his persona and public image for the sale of merchandise and other trademark products along with creation of ‘demeaning’ memes and GIFs, which also includes deployment of artificial intelligence (AI). Furthermore, he has also accused them of infringement of his trademark rights which involves the use of the Marathi slang ‘Bhidu’.
According to report Dekhi High Court Justice Sanjeev Narula of the Delhi High Court has allowed the application and summoned the concerned entities and has scheduled the matter on Wednesday.
Actors lawyer in argument has accused these individuals of engaging in misleading practices where consumers are forced believing that the products are advertised by Jackie Shroff who is well known bollywood personality worked in over 200 films.
