175 actors under one roof – Rajpal Yadav

Now Actor Rajpal Yadav directing his debut ‘Ata Pata Laapata’ with 175 artistes from various streams of entertainment, films, television and theater under one roof.

This time, the context had changed as I was acting and directing too.  “Having a huge cast has its own challenges, but everyone was very cooperative and trusted me as a director. Making a film is a team effort and I had a great time working with everyone.” Said Rajpal Yadav,

And, interestingly, some of them turned out to be his acting school batchmates. “It was like a big reunion for some of us,” says the actor, adding, “Working with friends, classmates and colleagues is always fun. There’s a scene where we play kabaddi, it’s my favourite because it felt like we were on a picnic playing the game.”

Asked about his most memorable moment, Yadav says it was when they were filming the climax. “The entire cast and crew, comprising 1,800 people were together, including the late Dara Singhji. We were shooting the song Ram Bharose and when I watched the scene on the monitor, it turned out to be just the way I had imagined,” he concludes.
